It’s been a few weeks since I posted my newsletter. I just returned from a wonderful trip to The Netherlands to visit my husband Rogier’s family and friends. We hadn’t been back for a number of years. It was a whirlwind trip visiting a variety of cities and also take the time to relax and enjoy our time as a vacation. On a few occasions we had rain with sun and I found myself looking all around to ‘find’ the rainbow that must be somewhere in the skies. On this one occasion outside my sister-in-law’s backyard I not only spotted a rainbow, but after a few moments a second started to appear - it seemed to grow as it came in and out of view. I was lucky enough to capture this with my camera. For me, it is these ‘little things’ that really give me joy and I take the time to ‘pause’ and not take these moments in time for granted. Is there a pot of gold on the other end of it? I don’t know, but I do know the image in front of me was what took my breath away and allowed me to appreciate the beauty and I just wanted to keep looking at it…
On our last morning this was the light coming through the haze as the sun was burning off the light mist on the grass. I just LOVE the light coming through the trees and showing off the change of season that is coming to the area. Each morning presented a new image to ‘capture’ in time.
Stay tuned for future postings of some of the other amazing memories I captured on the trip… Hopefully, this is an inspiration regardless of where you are to capture your ‘moments in time’.
