It’s been a while since I created a newsletter, but I haven’t stopped taking pictures. My challenge is always which ones to keep. I appreciate that Substack now allows for a ‘gallery’ of photos and not just one or two. Much easier for people like me who are not so good at rigorous editing. In this post I wanted to share a few of the images taken around Corvallis Oregon and local nature reserves. I’ve never seen such large leaves and colors of vibrancy. Nature is in full action. We are now seeing ‘crisp’ mornings with frost on the ground that in some places never melt. It’s a long and beautiful fall season, but we know the rain is coming soon.
In the meantime, we are thoroughly enjoying the colors all around! Hope you’re enjoying them where you live as well…

Wonderful pics Chris!
It's the one thing I missed when we lived in California, the fall colors and the crushing of fallen leafs under my feet.
